Privacy Policy

Medicall collects:

• Account information — name and email from Google or Apple sign-in.
• Care profiles — profile names and details you create for yourself or people you care for.
• Medicine & schedule data — medicine names, dosages, forms, instructions, stock counts, reminder times, and frequencies.
• Dose logs — taken, skipped, snoozed, and missed status with timestamps.
• Photos you choose to upload — prescription slip images and optional medicine photos, stored in private cloud storage tied to your account.
• Device preferences — theme, locale, and notification settings.

If you use prescription slip scanning:

• The app uses your device camera (or a photo you pick) to capture a doctor’s prescription slip.
• The image is uploaded to private storage associated with your profile.
• Automated / AI reading suggests medicine names, doses, and timings from the photo.
• AI can be wrong. It may misread handwriting, unclear photos, abbreviations, or similar medicine names. Suggested results are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.
• You must verify every item yourself against the original slip (and your doctor or pharmacist if anything looks off) before saving. Nothing is saved as a medicine until you review and confirm.
• Scan images and extracted text are treated as sensitive health-related data and are not sold.
• You can stop using scanning at any time; you may request deletion of uploaded prescription images with your account deletion or privacy request.

We use your data to authenticate your account, schedule reminders, show adherence history, support multi-person care profiles, run optional prescription scanning with your review, and improve product reliability. We do not sell personal health information.

Medicine names, dosages, schedules, dose logs, prescription photos, and care-profile health details are treated as sensitive health-related data. Access is limited to your account and people you explicitly invite to a profile.

We share data only with infrastructure providers required to run the service (for example authentication, database, storage, and AI processing vendors that help read prescription images), or when required by law. Caretakers and linked members only see profiles they are authorized to access.

We retain account and health-related records while your account is active. You may delete your account in the app or request deletion by contacting dev.nomantariq@gmail.com.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), account-based access controls, and private storage for prescription images. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please protect your device and sign-in methods.

You can update profile details, revoke invite access, disable notifications, skip prescription scanning, sign out, and request data export or account deletion.
